Ukraine keeps deploying troops and weapons to medical facilities, Head of Russia’s National Defense Management Center Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev said on Tuesday.
According to Mizintsev, who heads Russia’s interagency coordination center for humanitarian response in Ukraine, territorial defense units are stationed in Odessa’s City Hospital Number 29, with artillery pieces and multiple rocket launchers deployed nearby, while all patients were kicked out of the facility regardless of their condition.
Mizintsev added that nationalists had set up firing and sniper positions in the Avdeyevka City General Hospital and planted mines along the roads leading to the facility without informing local residents. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also established a base and weapons depots in the Privolye settlement in the Lugansk People’s Republic, forcing locals to take shelter in basements.
Besides, in Mizintsev’s words, Ukrainian militants made camp in a mental facility and a sanitary epidemiological station in the city of Slavyansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, deploying armored vehicles, artillery systems and multiple rocket launchers there. The Ukrainian military did not evacuate the residents of nearby buildings, using them as human shields.
